Stella's Blessing Day!

What a perfect day! We were planning on coming home from Lake Powell on Saturday and so the house had been cleaned and ready for Sunday before we left, but due to some unexpected bad weather we opted to head home on Friday, which was probably for the best. I just didn't realize how much stuff still had to get done. Everyone pitched in and helped out with the food, McKenzie was awesome and was so nice to accept my invitation to prepare and do all of the meat! I know how nice of me. She told me that it would be easy and that she was just going to throw it in the crock pot. She still insists that it wasn't an imposition, but it was a relief not to have to worry about making something I had never made before. Thanks so McKenzie! Everyone else was so nice to help and pitch in to make everything so much easier and a much more delightful day. I was so not stressed. I have really had a hard time feeling attractive, I'm sure I'm not the only new mom that goes through this, but finding something to wear and what I would look like at the blessing was really weighing on my mind. I know that sounds really vain. Well Sunday come and as I sat next to Kris who was holding Stella, he just kept looking into her eyes and his eyes started to water... It was then that all thoughts of what I looked like, or what Stella's dress looked like and any other worldly worry just seemed to melt away. My baby was getting a blessing today, and that was what really mattered, and it was my amazing husband that is a worthy priesthood bearer that was giving her her name... That is what really mattered. Kris told me after the blessing was over that he was going to keep his eyes open during the blessing, but that Stella was just looking at him with her big grin and so he knew that he was going to either laugh or cry so he closed his eyes. "And I still had a hard time getting though it." I have one of the most genuine and sincere husbands, no facades, that is one of my favorite qualities in him. The blessing was amazing. I didn't record it, totally spaced it out but some of the things that I remember were,
*That she has already blessed and enhanced our lives and has been a pleasure to have in our home.
*That she would be a peace maker in our home.
*That she would love and honor her mother.
*That she wouldn't always choose the right path, but that she would use and apply the atonement in her life.
When we had Molly one of my sisters good friends gave us a onesie that had her name on it and so when we got home form the blessing we put her in something a bit more comfortable than her dress and the onesie was perfect, because that was the day she was given her name. What better way to celebrate the day you are given a name. I loved the significance of that and so I decided that we would make this a tradition. So when we got home from Stella's blessing we did the same thing. A fun family tradition that our little family has!

To Catch a Thief?

So while we were at Lake Powell Kris's dad called him. He said that he had gotten a call from a police officer. The officer asked Kris's dad (Pa) if he knew a this lady we'll call Jane. Pa told the officer that she was a patent of his and his son. That would be Kris my husband. The officer went on to tell him that he had gotten a call from her saying that the younger Dr. Rosanders wife (yes ME) had stolen her computer key board! I know! I hope you're all laughing now and not wondering why I stole her keyboard. Pa explained that we were at Lake Powell and that I probably didn't take the key board. The officer told him that he was going over to her house and would keep Pa posted. The officer called back later that night and told Pa that he had helped her find the keyboard in her closet. The funny thing about this... I have never even met this patent. Any way just a funny story. Next time I should take something better than a keyboard:)

Lake Powell In October!

Oh wow! Another awesome week at Powell! Kris and I decided to take the girls down to lake Powell on Monday. We had such a fun time. Tuesday morning we got up and went in to Page for some groceries, and stopped to have breakfast at McDonald's. Kris had gone to get some salt and pepper and there was an old lady who no lie was probably in her late 70's if not 80's. Anyway she was cleaning and was sweeping and mopping the floor, bless her little heart, Molly looked at her and then looked at me and said "Cute girl, mommy!" then she went into the supply closet to get something Molly kept asking me "mommy where cute girl? Where cute girl go?" She is so funny. She is such a sweet little thing and just loves everyone and finds the best in every one, even that cute little old lady. We went to the beaches to throw rocks in the "Pool" as Molly calls it. We had so much fun just hanging around the house boat and boat rides in the small boat and feeding the fish. I was getting really into my book (Breaking Dawn) I love that book. I wish I had more time to sit and read it. So good! Wednesday came and my mom, sisters Katheryn and Whitney, and my Brother and his wife Cameron and Sierra come down Wednesday. Shortly after they came we decided to go for a boat ride. We all piled in to the boat and headed out for a ride. We weren't very far out and the boat just stopped. We got it to start up again, but it shut down again same thing. We had a hard time getting it started again. In fact we thought that we were going to have to call for help, Kris wasn't sure that he wanted to use the CB to call for help. We finally got it started and were able to bring it in and put it on the trailor. Kris felt so bad that my family had only gotten about 15 minutes in the boat before it puttered out. My mom and sister in law took the kids back to the boat while we were trying to get things figured out. Well even without the boat we had a blast. Molly went off the house boat slide and when she got out of the water she was whining a little but was saying "again, again." I took her back up, but she wouldn't go. We layed out and hang around the boat laying out on top and just having fun in the water. It was such a fun trip and Kris and I were lucky to have so many awesome helpers with the kids. I love Lake Powell, It's so fun to take the kids down and watch as they discover, more Molly than Stella, but I know as Stella gets older we will see that same excitement in her eyes.

Out of Town.

I feel like such a slacker. I'm usually totally up to date with what is going on with everyone in the blog world, but it just has been crazy lately. We are headed to Lake Powell, and then we have the baby blessing, but I can't wait to hear what has been going on. Sorry I've been a slacker I can't wait to have a few minutest to read  up. Love you all.

Conference Weekend.

Oh I love conference weekend. I love the fall air, or spring air, whichever season it is. I love the music, I love lounging in my p.j.'s and cuddling up on the couch with my pillow and blanket. I love all of the inspirational words spoken by prophets and apostles, but more than all of that I love the feeling I have when it's all over, the resolve that I can, and want to be better, the feeling of hope and being inspired by those words that seem they were spoken directly to me and can lift me up and give me hope and peace. I feel so blessed to have this amazing gospel in my life and I can't imagine my life without it. I have such an amazing life and I know that it is due to the gospel, and the knowledge that I have a Savior that loves me, he knows me, and I want to be with him, my Father in Heaven and my family for ever and I know that it is the gospel that will give me that direction. I feel extremely blessed for this great life and for the direction that we can receive by listening to the prophets and apostles during General Conference.

HUGE Thanks!

I am just the luckiest girl in the entire world. I have been having a really hard time keeping my house clean after getting back from Lake Powell a few weeks ago, but trying to get thing done and having two kids with one, if not both of them are crying and screaming and needing something has been really difficult. But we are going out of town again tomorrow and don't get back until Saturday and then Sunday we are blessing Stella with lunch at our house after. I have to have everything done and ready so that I can walk in the door and get the laundry done and be ready for the blessing on Sunday. My mom and sister Whitney came up on Friday to help watch the kids and get the house clean. It's amazing how much you can get done with 3 adults, even with 2 kids. The girls were actually quite cooperative surprising being as they were both crying when they showed up. Not only did they help me get a ton done, my mom took Molly home with her to spend the night so I could finish the rest of the house, basement not included. It was so nice to get everything done and feel like I'm back on dry land and no longer drowning. Molly had a blast at Grandma and Grandpas and she was glad to come home when I went to pick her up on Saturday. Thanks so much mom and Whitney. I was telling my mom she will never know how much she helped and she told me that she did and that she had a mom too. What a lifesaver moms are and how blessed I am to have the mom I have. Thanks so much Mom and Whitney you guys are the best!
Molly, Moga, and Wewe after our cleaning frenzy.
One of the fun activities that Molly did while at Grandma and Grandpa's was play with this wig. Everyone tried it on, from Molly to Grandpa and everyone in between. Molly loved it.
My mom was saying that she kept climbing up on this little car wash thing and trying to slide down it. Only one "cheek" would fit on the slide. That funny girl.

It's the Little Things!

Tuesday wasn't the most amazing day, so yesterday I decided I needed to change my attitude and if nothing else I would, as Pres. Eyring said, find the tender mercies in my life. So I have been trying to get Stella's birth announcements done and sent out but I have just not had time to sit down and put them together, I finally got that done yesterday. I really should start at the beginning of the day. I took Molly to swim lessons yesterday, the tender mercy is that she has done so well with Kimber her teacher, but she only wants her, no one else. She has loved Kimber and now that Kimber has cut her hours down due to school stress (I hope it's not Molly stress) Molly has a new teacher and she is doing well. I told Molly if she didn't cry and she did everything she was supposed to, I would take her to see daddy after. So after swim we stopped by the office and the tender mercy is that Kris was a head of schedule so he could hang out with us for a few minutes. He took Molly outside and they ate some crackers and went for a little walk. I love that I have a husband that just lights up when he sees his little girls. We missed Kiki at the office so we stopped to get a cupcake and met up with Kerry (Kiki) for a few minutes (love the cupcakes it just makes me smile to see the mini cupcakes and I love the taste, yummy. I also had to stop by the store to get a few things and one of them was mush (oatmeal) and on top of the oatmeal box there was a $1 off coupon someone had clipped out of the newspaper and left on top, how nice. I'm hoping someone decided they didn't need it and left if for the next person, me:) I'm so grateful for the small little things in my life that help me to see the hand of the Lord. I know these are small things, but I think that the Lord knew I just needed to be reminded that His hand in my life if I just look for it. We ended the day with a huge bonk on the cheek with Molly. Poor thing she slipped on the wood floor and nailed her cheek. I really felt bad and it looks horrible. Then I was off to YW's. We went for a hike and it was amazing, the colors right now are fantastic. Again it was nice to be reminded of the Lords hand in my life and His amazing creations around us. So all in all, I didn't get a ton done, but it was a much better day, by looking for the small things.
Kris and Molly hanging out at work!
Oh they were sooo good! Our mini cupcakes.
Marnie's bonk! She was so sad,
but you should know after I took the picture she said "I see, Marnie's bonk?"
I don't know if you can tell, but her check is bruised and red
where she hit it. That's one good battle wound.
Aren't those colors amazing?
