Just a Regular Day!

This one has a tendency of making massive messes in just seconds.

So while I was helping Molly go potty This is what was going on....

Stella managed to get the chips from the top shelf in the pantry, I honestly don't want to know how!

She emptied a whole package of graham crackers on the floor, walking over them to insure the most breakage also leading to the most crumbage (I know I think I just made up a new word, yea for me!) though out the whole house!

She also snaked one of my experimental Red Velvet cupcakes, apparently it wasn't a hit! So what do you find after helping your kids wipe and pull up there pants?

Molly's First Of School!

Molly's first day of school wasn't quite what you would expect! She didn't go! Monday night we were on our way home when she threw up all over the car. The poor kid was sick! Honestly I don't really know if she was sick or if it was just the nasty rotten milk I gave her on Sunday night... I didn't really look at the expiration date... uuuuu the 28th. No one else had even gotten an upset stomach, but poor Molly was shaking, barfing and the poor thing felt horrible. She was in the bathroom after she had thrown up and I was brushing her teeth when she said to me with the saddest face ever "I don't think I should go to school tomorrow." She started to cry. Oh I felt so bad. I just hugged her and I wanted to cry. She has been looking forward to this since the last day of school last year. She has been begging me to go back. In fact I had to make a count down calender for her so that she would know how many days left she had until school started.

So she got up and she seemed fine! I didn't send her... Just in case. She seemed fine all day long. So I took her when I knew that her class would be getting out and we went to meet her teachers and give them their little back to school gifts. I wanted Molly to get to meet her teachers and felt like she knew where she was going, being as everyone had a day up on her! Her teachers could not have been cuter! They took Molly by the hand and showed her the room, walking her all around and telling her what to do when she comes back tomorrow, really they are darling!

Molly gave them their little teacher gift. I tried to do something different this year. Molly's class didn't have a meet your teacher day so she was going in cold turkey. I though that It would be fun to do a little something that showed a little bit about who Molly is and what she likes and a little of her personality! So I came up with this...

I came up with new words to to the tune of "My Favorite Things" song form "The Sound Of Music" Then I printed them off with this picture and put it on a cute lunch box look a like and put in some crayons that we had melted down into letterers, some chap stick for make up and some chocolate covered in glob like wrappers for treats. Molly wrote a cute little note and I think her teachers really like it! The song went like this...

Bright golden arches, warm fries and cold sprite
Lake Powell in summer, with water just right
Dresses, and bowas, high hills, big fake rings
These are a few of my favorite things

Choirs:
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

Soft fleece green blankie, right thumb in my mouth
Movies and treats for those long trips down south
Helping sweet Stella with hair-stylings
These are a few of my favorite things

Choirs

Playing with dollies and putting on make up
Having tea parties with milk in my cup
Crayons and markers to add to drawings
These are a few of my favorite things

Choirs

After we went to visit her teachers we came home had some lunch and then put the kids down for a nap, Molly needed it after a sleepless night. Then when Kris got home we all went over and took some picture of Molly at her school on her first day! She was so cute! Love this girl! I can't believe that she has grown up so fast! Really where has the time gone. I dropped her off and really was so sad. I got in the car and Stella just looked at me and started to cry... "Where's Molly? Where's Molly? I want daddy!" I wanted to cry as well. Not only has my baby gone to school my other baby is freaked out she has to be all alone with me! But we made it, and Molly loved it! Stella realized it wasn't so bad. We had a fun day. We went to the park, daddy's office and the fabric store. All in all it's been a good week minus the few little hick ups here and there. We didn't get to have our Back to school FHE dinner due to sick kids... but it will be coming! Here are some back to school photos of My (not baby, boo!) big girl!

Labor Day! 2010

We had such a great Labor day... Well for most of it, but really it was a blast! My sister in law has a fabric business and was having an amazing sale for Labor day so we headed down to her house to check out the fabric, (So awesome BTW! I was in heaven.) She and my cute brother had a BBQ at their house for all of us! It was Delicious! I should have taken pictures of all of the food, it was so good and not just that, but looked beautiful! Not only did we get an awesome lunch, fantastic fabric, (which I got a ton of!) but awesome entertainment! Cam and Sierra have a dog Elanor... she is darling! My girls love to play with her (a.k.a. run away from her screaming and laughing nervously, and wanting to pet her but takes 5 min to get the courage to actually pet her.) Not only do they have a cute dog, but they have an awesome garden that they let my girls pick stuff out of and a coop full of chickens. Sierra was so cute and took the girls out there and let Molly and Stella collect the chicken eggs. We though we had gotten them all and then Stella started pointing to the ground yelling egg! We looked and sure enough there was an egg on the ground. She was so excited and way nervous as she picked up the egg. She kept saying that the chickens were going to get her or that she was scared, but she was so brave and totally got the egg, cracking another one when she put the one she got in the basket... Sorry Sierra! It was really fun! We had a great day. After leaving we headed to the park to meet up with some of Kris's fam. Molly just laid on the blanket and didn't really move. That is so not her! I knew that she didn't feel well. Kris had told his family we would do dinner with them, and had totally forgotten that we were doing the back to school night, so that is why we had gone to the park to hang out. We left and drove around for a bit and stopped at the store then headed home only to be about 4 blocks away when Molly barfed all over the car. Needless to say we didn't have our Back to school night, we still will sometime. We came home and I got Molly all showered, ready for bed with some meds while Kris (the most amazingly, wonderful, best, most incredible, husband ever) cleaned up the puke! Don't you all wish you were married to him? Sorry Girls! He's taken! What an awesome husband and dad he is! And that is where our nigh really ended. Molly got sick a few more times that night, but woke up fine the next day! All in all it was an awesome Labor Day! Thanks Cam and Sierra for hosting us all! What a blast!

Japan Day 9!

Day 9 we went to a theme park with Ryoko and Megumie. It was so much fun! They had a great water park so we spent the first part of the day there going on slides, watching surfers, chilling in the wave pool and enjoying sun! We took a bus there! It was a long bus. Good thing we had some fun!

While we were in the wave pool one of the employees walked us out these awesome things to tie on our sunglasses so we didn't loose them. Only in Japan would they care enough to bring you something so you wouldn't loose your glasses. When we told him it was ok, we were fine without them, He made it clear it wasn't an option! So funny! Love it!
Japan is so conservative and really likes to keep things looking good, that includes others your looking at! Check this sign out that was posted all over the park! If you have tats cover them up! Totally different that the US.
Hitting the roller coasters and coming to the close of the day! It was really fun but we had been in the sun all day and were tiered and Poor Whit got such a bad migraine.

I was thinking that this was the ride home, but it was actually the ride there.... I know I started off tiered!
We all got a bit of sun! Poor Cyd was fried!
Poor Cyd's Feet
Whitney's legs and Cydne's legs! It just hurts to look at it, even now!

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!

Japan here I come! Well Kirsten (my sisters good friend) and I have headed to Japan! We left early Sunday afternoon and spent 14 hours on airplanes, 3 hours on trains and then 30 min in car... but we are here!

Let's start form the very beginning of this adventure! Kris was nice enough to take me to the airport. We got the girls ready for church so that as soon as they dropped me off they could head back to church. The ride was going well until Kris pointed out Molly's funny little face! She had kind of a pouty face. Totally thinking she was kidding I just kind of playing around with her. I asked her why she had that face on. Then the water works started. She was so cute! "I'm just sad because I'm going to miss you! and she just kept crying! not the trying to be dramatic hysterical cry, just the trying to hold it back, but tears roiling down her face. That's when I started! It's been hard trying to get things settled to head to Japan, but now that it was here I knew I was going to miss them like crazy! And Molly's tears were not helping. I got a little teary myself. It was hard to say good by. Molly was not feeling well, which I know added to her sensitivity and my feeling guilty. Once at the airport I met up with Kirst and we checked our bags and headed up to board. Other than the a REALLY rocky landing in Tokyo the flight was uneventful and long. We had attempted a sleeping pill in hopes we would sleep all the way to Japan.... no such luck. I think I slept a total of 2 hours at the beginning.
Once we landed in Japan and made it though customs and got our baggage we headed out and got some train tickets to take us to Tokyo. You would think coming into the Tokyo airport you would be in Tokyo... Nope! So we made it to the train, just down in the basement of the airport and were off to Tokyo and from there we had to catch the Shinkonsen, AKA the Shink or Bullet Train. The amazing thing that we noticed right off the bat was that Japan is so clean! Once the train got there they cleared it and then cleaned it, the same with the Shinkonsen. Navigating our way though Tokyo station was CRAZY! When I got the instructions from Kat on how to get to Nagoya, being as Tokyo is not my parents area so they couldn't pick us up, were to follow the signs and gave us two numbers one for the mission home and one for the mission office... After about an hour we got to Tokyo station I was still not 100% sure we were getting off on the right stop, 95% sure, but I didn't want to get off the wrong way. Up to this point we had asked a few people for help and they were all very nice. There was a man standing by the door with us and I just asked him..."Is this the right stop for us?" while showing him my tickets and then outside, knowing he would most likely not know what I was saying so thinking adding a little charades into the mix would help out. He looked at the tickets and in his perfect English said "ya this is the right stop." He was so nice. He asked if this was our first trip to Japan and told us how safe it was. He said you can ask anyone anything and feel safe. We decided to take it a step further and ask him where to catch the Shink. Once we were getting off the shink he said... Here follow me I'll take you there. HOLY COW! Can I tell you how many millions of people there were and here I am with my two HUGE bags, Kirst is caring my huge carry on, my biggest bag was for my mom, with all of the stuff she had requested. So here I am trying to pull these 40+ lb bags and follow this guy, who by the way had to help me up the stairs with my bags, through all of these millions of people. I have never seen so many people in my whole life in one place! This nice guy walked up right up to where we put in our tickets to make it to the platform, and then he told us goodbye and turned around and went back the way we came from, and we had come quite a ways! While we were waiting for the Shink I looked at Kirst and said, knowing my parents were going to meet us at Nagoya station. I said... If that station is anything like Tokyo we will never find them! She agreed! Once On the Shinkonsen we were both really tired and trying to stay awake. I could see poor Kirsten's head bobbing. We spent 2 hours on the Shinkonsen and while I was looking at the back of the seat I saw a map like picture of the Shink and noticed that there was a phone on there. Kat had said that there ware phones all over the place and to just call when we get here, but I hadn't not seen a phone since we got off the plane, but I wasn't really looking either. Kirst and I were just trying to make one train after another. So sitting on the Shink seeing that there is a phone on the Shink I thought I would give it a try. So I found the phone and then realized that it only takes phone cards, which I didn't have. So I turned around to go out of the phone booth and couldn't figure out how to get out! I was totally stuck. Oh I think I was just really tired and didn't have a clue of what I was doing! I finally just pushed really hard and got it opened. Once we made it to Nagoya station we decided to head out and just wait. As we were walking I saw a girl wearing cute short and as I looked closer I realized that she was totally a guyjin (foreigners) then I realized that it was Whitney! Hooray! I yelled and then I yelled again and then Kirst and I both yelled and then she turned around. She took us to the other side of the platform where mom, dad, kat and the AP's were. Oh it was so fun. Again for the second time there were tears. I gave my dad a hug and that's when it started! Oh it's so good to be here with them and see where they are living and what they are doing and meet all of these amazing people that I keep hearing about! We drove back to the mission home had some cereal and talked and headed to bed! Oh I'm so glad that I'm here!
